Real Time

In the last few years the use of Motion Capture Vicon has increasingly made possible to watch in real-time actors kinetics on digital character models. The real-time capture let us explore and work in contexts so far unthinkable for cartoons. We created virtual entertainers who could interact with the audience in commercial or cultural events.

High-performance video cards made possible to translate actors filmed performance onto a cartoon in real-time, allowing live direction. This was the starting point to develop real-time rendering and a series of interactive animation applications that found their way into theatre, dance, live TV and teaching.
